It's been 3 weeks since the 'Green Flu' epidemic broke out, quickly spreading across the whole of the South of America and most of North America. In a desperate attempt to salvage what remained of their organisation, CEDA created the Hazardous Environment Combat Unit, HECU for short. 5 designated operatives are sent in to the Harbour View Hotel in Fairfield to secure research for a possible 'cure', but the time is running the team down and the storm clouds are closing in...

The Wildfire Virus. That's the illness the eggheads have called dubbed that has spread alarmingly fast all over the world. No could figure out at first how and where it came from or how even spread so quickly. I was on leave, visiting brother in Boston when the infection hit. Yesterday, the world was normal with its own conflicts. The next, millions get sick, hospitals are overwhelmed, and any sort of space was converted into a makeshift hospital to handle all the sick. On day 2 the sick died and awoke attacking the living. I tried to get out of the city, but the military closed off every major access point and now I'm trapped within, along with millions of undead. World of the Dead
