Ivy never knew about the race of the Guardians, even though she has Guardian DNA running through her veins. Her overprotective brother thought it unnecessary to tell her who she really was. She didn't understand why she was so different from everyone else. Why she had unique gifts that no one else seemed to have. Then she met Tobias.

Tobias was on Earth beause he had an assignment. Not only is he a Hunter, but he is also a Warrior for his home planet and the next in line for the throne. Tobias didn't want to be stuck on Argoron, so he became a Hunter so he could visit and see new places. He ran into Ivy on an assignment and saved her life. That is where their adventure began.

The two bumping into each other was not a coincidence. They have what the Guardians call a Connection. It binds them together for eternity. Once a Guardian meets the person that they have a Connection with, they will never love another. As Ivy and Tobias get to know each other better, their Connection grows stronger. But with Ivy's brother trying to keep them apart, it's difficult for them to truly get to know each other. Plus, with a spy being in the castle, Tobias and Ivy can't trust anyone, not even themselves. In this game of cat and mouse, you never know who is truly with you or against you.
