I stared up blankly at the ceiling and listened to the sound of the storm clouds rolling in. The air was full of static and the heat this year was overwhelming. The small fan on my chair definitely wasn't going to cut it.. I sat  up and stared out across the housetops that were scattered into the distance. 

Looking back, my life had been like that of most other teenage girl's - Spending time with my best friend Alexis, listening to music on my worn out ipod, and staying up late to sit in my window and watch the night sky. But after the previous weeks events, my life seemed anything but ordinary. 

A sudden streak of lightning only added to my endless list of questions. .. Would a seemingly innocent June storm hold the answer to my questions? Would I able to get back to where I found myself before... A more unnerving question, however, was weighing on my mind... If I hadn't been dreaming, did a world really exist other than the one I'd always known, and if so, what did it have to do with me?....
