poltergeist 1982

Located in a suburb of California, the plot focuses on a family whose home is invaded by evil ghosts who try to kidnap the youngest of the family.

The film is in the 80th position of the 100 Scariest Movie Moments and Chicago Film Critics Association named it the 20th scariest film ever made1. The film also appeared at the 84th position of the AFI's 100 Years ... 100 Thrills, the list of the most thrilling films in America. Poltergeist has also been nominated for three Oscars.
