Liko is an ordinary teenager. Well as normal as a 17 year old girl can get. She's lived in her small cosy apartment with her mum Ivy and small tabby cat Rory for as long as she can remember. Her dad was gone before she was born, and she never gave another thought about him, because there's no point on dwindling on the past is there? But on her eighteenth birthday, unforgettable dreams begin to invade her sleep. Whispered names dominate her thoughts and darkness fogs her vision, even in the daylight. Her best friend thinks she's going insane and she begins to think so too. Until her mum drops a bombshell that will change her life and daddy comes to visit.

Her eyes seem to be possessed with something, as the sun's rays reflect off the glassy surface, ashamed to be in her presence. Inside, stars revolve deep inside the vast galaxy she has managed to create, and as I trudge deeper into the depths of unknown, time and reality seem to pause and bow before her. A tinge of rose-inflicted water swirls in her eyes and blurs my vision, but her aura is somehow sweet. Like candy, her addictive smile lure all who see her, and her layered personality is timid, shy, and delicate. But don't be fooled, once she warms up, she is chirpy, and cheerful. What does that description make you think of? An angel in a mortal's soul? A mere dream? I grew up with her, and she was the equivalent of something that even heaven couldn't conjure. But life is a deceiving creature. A lie. Because whilst her body portrays a perfect, shameless, care-free girl, her soul is slowly dying. When I realized that she'd be enrolling at Yuko High, my blood levels spiked. However, it turns out that the girl I thought I knew was long gone. People change, and nothing stays the same. And in that time, I've changed a bit myself. One thing I do know is that she isn't happy. But I happen to have just the solution for that...
