I had been standing in front of her house for the past two hours. I'd seen her half an hour ago looking outside her window and I knew she saw me. 

          But the way she was standing in her room made me bow down to her. Not that I haven't been doing that for the past seven years but it had an authoritative air around her that made her seem different. Feel different.

          Maybe because now, she was looking down at me with both mockery and pity.

          Just like everyone else.





          Mikey has been best friends with Dani ever since they were five and she's been the love of his life ever since they were ten. But when one night comes between them and changes everything, their precious friendship burns immediately to ashes, forcing Mikey to move halfway across the world.

Marilla now lives with her mom and her boyfriend in the rich side of town. She's shy but she's known for her outburst and anger. But things aren't what they seem in the inside. Her mom abuses her. Mostly mentally but sometimes physically. Her mom makes her thinks she's incapable of love until she meets ash. He changed her perspective of herself and helps her through the hard times.
