If this is the apocalypse, I'd rather have zombies over dinosaurs. Or would I?

Stuck on an island that looked like it hadn't been touch by anyone ever, I find myself alone. I have nothing, not even the clothes on my back.

With no clue where I am, I need to figure out how to survive in a world that I know doesn't make sense. Dinosaurs, prehistoric animals, god-damned dodo birds, the island has it all. Except for other people. But I'll find them. I have to.

When I do find other people, who's to say they won't be more deadly than the creatures? 

Trust will become more rare than showers. Humans will turn their backs on their own to join the beasts. Loyalty will be found, gained and tested. Will the bonds that I make save my life? Or be the reason I lose it? Will I manage to find some pants? Will I discover any answers to what's going on? What secrets does this island hold?

For all the questions that I have, I do know one thing for certain: I am not ready for this.

In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. Not the slowpokes, dumb, crazied flesh-eating monsters. No, these zombies can see, smell, run, climb, they can imitate and God help us they understand and not simply imitate. What happens when these zombies begin to gain intelligence? Every living thing evolves and if it doesn't; it's not worthy of being called 'living'. So when the remaining of humanity remains unmoving, stagnant but the zombies keep growing in mass, intelligence, strength; living. Living on the bare minimum, working your back, seeing loved ones day every single day, hearing screams of help from all around you but knowing how you couldn't do anything. This is a world where surviving wasn't... surviving. Living hurts. This is a world where even horror die-hard fans would rather not be in. For you to live, you have to be insane. And thankfully for one of our characters, they've gone insane.
