If this is the apocalypse, I'd rather have zombies over dinosaurs. Or would I?
Stuck on an island that looked like it hadn't been touch by anyone ever, I find myself alone. I have nothing, not even the clothes on my back.
With no clue where I am, I need to figure out how to survive in a world that I know doesn't make sense. Dinosaurs, prehistoric animals, god-damned dodo birds, the island has it all. Except for other people. But I'll find them. I have to.
When I do find other people, who's to say they won't be more deadly than the creatures?
Trust will become more rare than showers. Humans will turn their backs on their own to join the beasts. Loyalty will be found, gained and tested. Will the bonds that I make save my life? Or be the reason I lose it? Will I manage to find some pants? Will I discover any answers to what's going on? What secrets does this island hold?
For all the questions that I have, I do know one thing for certain: I am not ready for this.

Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. We all were hiding in random places, apparently any place we could find. There were a ton of zombies, the whole place was full of them. Many people from our group were lost to the virus. Muffled voices, blurred vision and heavy breathes were heard. The ship which everyone had longed for soon arrived. The plan was to run to the ship and never look back. The ferry was anchored at the harbor and on the signal, everyone ran for their precious lives, not daring to look back. Some people couldn't make it in 'The End' . The ones who survived were the last of us. Will the people make it in time? What hardships will they encounter along the way? Although we have grown very far apart, you are the inspiration behind my words for this novel, and I hope that one day we can reconcile and start afresh and return to the two peas in a pod we used to be.
