Isla is just a regular 20 years old. She lived in San Francisco all her life but she has moved to Lilliput to start a new life. Things start to go south when people start disappearing and all the crops start to be taken in the night. She soon finds herself running from the missing people, they are no longer people, they are now dead. Isla meets a girl named Kendahl who is being chased. With Kendahl's realize they're zombies and they're hungry for humans.

One day the government unleashed an accidental creature that infected others to which people call, zombies. The government unleashed three man-made islands (one for each money class thingy). They also created Hunters who go to the large islands and kill zombies and find survivors. At age 10 you can continue normal school or you can try out to become a hunter, if you make it you go to a school you are given a letter ranking before you practice for seven years. The two main characters, Lorelei and Finnick are hunters. The story is about their adventures and problems with politics.
