What he does know for certain is that after the blinding brightness he can't see anything but endless, featureless grey, and some of it is solid enough to walk on. Then everything went too dark to see and too bright to imagine again. Finding an overhead catwalk gets him out of the bowl he woke up in, but he only finds a young kid here in the grey, and she's alone and scared and trapped in a bowl just like he was. My mouth tastes like metal and I could taste blood as well, the force of the gun being shoved down my throat scratched the inside of my mouth.
