The taxi swerves to avoid a head on collision with another car. The driver pulls back on the steering wheel to regain control, but does it with a sudden jerk and the steering wheel comes clean off the dashboard. The car lurches to the side with such a force that we begin to roll down the cliff that drops down the side of the highway. I attempt to block the shards of glass that fall from the windows and on to my bare skin.
Ivy McKinnon has been running for quite some time. It's not her family or her friends, or even her boyfriend that are giving her trouble. It's herself. Ever since the death of her sister, Renee, Ivy has blamed herself for the damage that was caused.
But her life changes dramatically as she somehow survives a severe car crash; her being the only survivor. After hours of searching, Ivy finds a town that can supply her with the simple necessities of life.
