When he reached 18 years old he was then knighted by the current grandmaster but his first battle against the enemy was soon to be his last. After the battle, he was left for dead mortally wounded; Gideon thought he wouldn't make it until he was saved by what he thoughts were the arch nemesis of the church. He soon realized that there was a far stronger and scarier nemesis, one who understood and acted upon the most sinister schemes.
