At North Barricade Middle School, the student council president, Hadley Guard recommends the idea to stop funding the theater program at their school. Principal Javert agrees, 8th grader, Enjolras plans to protest and and fight for the theatre department in order to do a spring musical. The other students agree and fight with him! (P.S. this book makes fun of middle school stereotypes and instead of people dying, they get suspended.)
