A short story based off of Billy Walker's song The Lawman

They sent me out from Santa Fe to try and find his trail

They think that I'm the only one who can bring him back to jail

This star says I'm a lawman this gun has seen me through

And though my heart is heavy I've got a job to do

You see he's such a proud man who never learned to crawl

But a good man turns gun slinger he's the meanest man of all

He killed the US Marshall and for that he's gonna pay

And I'm the lonely lawman who's on his trail today

There was a time he fought for true and on the side of right

Until the only girl he loved was killed one faithful night

I know his heart was shattered as he turned the barren sod

And laid away her body come ending into God

Then he vowed a revenge to those who took her life

And every notch upon his gun a tear shed for his wife

But revenge is like wild fire sweepin' through the wood

It turns reason into ashes and it burns out on the good

18 parts Complete Mature
**PREQUEL TO "COWBOY UP (COWBOY GANGSTER SHORT STORY)"** Heff Wilder's world is shattered when he receives word that his sister and brother-in-law, Mandy and Frank Zayne, have died in a car accident. Since the death of their parents when Heff was ten, Heff and Mandy were each other's rocks. Now, at just twenty-one, Heff suddenly feels lost and alone. Things get worse when he learns of a special clause inserted into Mandy and Frank's will concerning their horse ranch: Heff must live on the property and run the ranch with Frank's younger brother, Garland-or the ranch will be turned over to the state to be auctioned off. Five years ago, Heff fled the ranch to get away from Garland Zayne. How could he go back now and live with the one man who had hurt him most? Garland Zayne is shocked-and infuriated-by the unexpected clause in his brother's will. Garland had busted his back right alongside Frank to build the ranch up from nothing-the ranch should have rightfully gone to him. Focusing on his anger and confusion over the ranch distracted him from the unbearable loss of his big brother and the woman who had loved him like a sister. An avoidable loss that he caused-at least, that's what he believes. And now, amidst his grief, guilt, and anguish, he is forced to confront a troubling, painful past as well-in Heff Wilder. Facing the young man after five years stirs up memories both good and bad, but mostly bad as he can't forget how he wronged the boy-then turned on him, causing Heff to flee his presence and never return to the ranch. Until now. Now, Heff and Garland must learn to work together or lose the ranch. But before that can happen, they must confront the past... and that one night that ruined everything.
Flames Through Sorrow (TCM) by Hydrakinz
18 parts Ongoing Mature
Based on one of the biggest horror movie series to ever hit the video game universe, Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I do not claim any sort of ownership to the lore of TCM, only to the story ahead. For those reading this on Wattpad, please take note that not all tags/themes can be listed here, and a much more detailed listing will be put on AO3/Archive Of Our Own. This story will contain very violent and inappropriate themes and natures and is not suitable for readers below the age of eighteen, although, I can't technically stop anyone from reading my work, it is required of me to warn those out there, respectfully. - Johnny Sawyer was known for his sinister attitude and overly confident way on the hunting ground, and he just about never failed to search for the thing his family sought him out to find. Under this unyielding role, he was one of the most honored underneath the family pride. With his mother being put away by the law of the modern age, it was up to him and the rest of the family to keep things going just as they always have. Everything would be abnormally normal for quite some time, and the usual struggle was strong in Johnny's veins at being without the person who kept him on his toes from morning till night. Johnny was unaware that his life would soon unfold into one of the biggest lies he's ever known and send him down a spiraling roller-coaster of hell-bent rage and regret. To top it all off, a thing he never knew or cared for was his biggest motive for mercy. Love. -
Southern Charm by anj6232
26 parts Complete Mature
Jessie White stands out from the crowd. As a Southern woman, she defies the typical expectations for a twenty-four-year-old. While others her age might be in college or embarking on new careers, Jessie's upbringing on a ranch alongside four brothers equipped her with skills many would balk at. She's adept at horseback riding, calving, stall cleaning, and more. Fiercely independent, Jessie refuses to rely on any man, a resolve hardened after heartbreak at the hands of Max Lane, a rancher's son, two years prior. Jessie has resolved to take up bull riding, a skill that appears to be a family legacy. Her lifelong dream has been to ride a bull before an audience, but now, her ambition has shifted to rescuing the White Family Ranch after a substantial portion of their funds vanished and debts began accumulating. Max Lane's family is eager to buy the White Family Ranch, but Jessie refuses to let him take away the one thing that sustains her. Being a beauty bartender owner and a female bull rider makes things challenging. Everyone says she can't do it because she's a woman, but Jessie is determined to prove them all wrong. Initially skeptical, Trace Black doesn't recognize her potential until he witnesses her mount a bull for the first time. Although he may appear arrogant externally, that pales in comparison to his internal complexity. Trace and Jessie are initially oblivious to their chemistry, though it's evident to everyone around them. As Jessie gathers the courage to express her feelings to Trace, the things she dreads occur. However, it doesn't make matters worse; it alters everything profoundly. *WARNING* Book contains language, child loss, trauma, etc. Thank you for choosing my story! WAR

24 parts Ongoing

My name is Ray. I was born in a 100 year war. My life goal is to win this war. There are two sides to this war. I am on neither side. Feet pounding, Heart racing, I run. Screams light the night air. Gun shots. Bullets fly across the sky. I reach an alley. My hands shake. Tears fell from my eyes. "You are more powerful than you know." my mothers words come back to me. "Harder! Stronger!" Father pushed me until I got it perfect. "Alright" I whisper to myself in this bloody 100 year battle. "You are strong. You are powerful. You got this." I wait until I hear someone walk past the alley. I sneak up on them. SNAP! I snap their neck easily. I smile to myself, and grab this man's gun, and knife. I dash away from the sound of battle. If I can make it to my fathers breeders, or even the stable, I have a good chance to live. Only if...... I don't let my mind finish that thought. Bell WILL be alive. she has to be. her pups can win this everlasting War.
