Surrounded by family she never knew existed until now, Angelique learns who her parents are. That like her, her father had secrets. Secrets that led to her being committed to a hospital for the criminally insane, and a darkness that seems to be hunting her like it hunted him. A darkness that puts anyone and anything she loves in danger.

Enrolled in a new school, Angelique meets those in possession of gifts like hers who help her understand them. Because the world is running out of time and so is she. Especially when her identity as one of the fallen has been uncovered and she can no longer hide from those who hunt her.

Unimaginable forces of darkness have been unleashed. And as she begins her training as one of the fallen, learning how to harness lightpower, she puts the puzzle pieces of her life together. Finding power within herself she never knew she had.
