In this mercenary industry of ours, all manner of people find themselves with unexpected bedfellows. Audax Aquilla and Vanessa are a prime example of surprising success in spite of their odd partnership. They've been good friends for years as the aloof but professional Audax and abrasive but skilled Vanessa. Their relationship suddenly changes, after one near fatal encounter with an aging security bot. That night, scared for Audax's life, Vanessa pulls off the mask, and to her shock finds the utter mess known as Phil Giampoalo. They can't go on as their mercenary personas and I can only hope that the two people would accept one another and remain partners.
