September 20, 1989. Westerburg High School, Sherwood, Ohio. Two students arrive to their tenth high school. The pair is seventeen years old, mysterious, witty, and with a certain knack for causing a stir in their schools. Three weeks after her rise to popularity, Veronica Sawyer meets y/n Dean in one of her classes. Shortly after, she discovers her new friend's brother.
