Evan Hansen is an angel. He was responsible for watching over other angels who had been misguided, and he helped them come back to God, even though he was, and still is, an atheist angel. He has lived like this for 238 years, but one day a special guardian case comes up, and he decides to take it after being stuck in the same position for over 200 years. When he landed on Earth he thought this would be easy, despite his lack of experience in the guardian angel field of work. Evan works with his human, spending the nights with him talking about their lives, and becoming friends, the one thing he feared happening happened. He fell for his human, and he knew that his boss up above would not be pleased to hear this.

Connor Murphy is basically a prostitute. He left home at seventeen and realised the easiest way to make a living was by selling his body, which takes a big toll on his mental health. He reaches the point where he feels as though life is pointless. Evan Hansen is a typical college student. He deals with medically diagnosed anxiety and mild depression on top of college classes and his outgoing roommate and best friend, Jared Kleinman. Trigger warnings: sexual, physical, verbal, and emotional abuse, smut, probably homophobic slurs at some point, sporadic cursing, mental illness, thoughts of suicide and self deprecation, and probably a few more I can't think of Slow-ish updates
