The Forgotten

Our village grew on the tales about the surrounding forest. People from far and wide came just to visit it. The more people believed in them the stronger the forest grew.

At least that was how it's supposed to work, no one knew when it changed, mother said it changed because the village grew to trust technology, father said it was because the forest was at war with itself, no one knew and because of this no one was to enter.

But I couldn't resist, the forest called me, literally at night I'd here them whispering, so one night I decided to see who was calling, I never expected an answer.
