Baba Jola, pimpinan bajak laut Tobelo-Galela melompat ke laut dari kawalan kepolisian Hindia Belanda dan berenang menuju kota Ternate. Pihak kepolisian kelimpungan mencari buronan berjuluk Kepala Suanggi tersebut. Inspektur Cornelis Both dan jajarannya minta bantuan kepada dua pemuda pribumi terpelajar dan esentrik yang tinggal di Falajawa bernama Sabbak dan Rajab. Ternyata pencarian sang buronan ini tidak semudah yang mereka kira. Apalagi berhubungan dengan harta curian pasca konflik antara Kesultanan Ternate dan Tidore yang terjadi beberapa abad sebelumnya. Belum lagi kedua pemuda itu terlibat kisah asmara dengan perempuan yang derajatnya lebih tinggi dari mereka. Mampukah keduanya menyelesaikan semua masalah yang dibebankan kepada mereka?

When I initially drafted this story last year, and when I read it with imaginary characters, it felt so normal. But after uploading it as a fanfic and reading it, imagining Ashaangi as the main lead, this book gave me a completely different vibe, and I was surprised by myself, how certain things synced in this story even before they met.
