Berita itu menyebar luas. Aku tau berita bohong. Mereka sengaja menciptakannya untuk membuat mereka resah. Ingin sekali kutulis sesuatu agar berita itu tak lagi mengganggu kedamaian pesantren kami. 

Ya, ayah selalu mengajarkan tentang nikmatnya menulis. Mengungkapkan rasa, menyebarkan informasi. 

Dan hari ini, aku sadar betul. Tulisan bisa berarti dua hal. Bisa membantumu mendapatkan informasi, atau menghancurkan hidupmu hingga ke akar dengan jutaan kebohongan yang sengaja dicitakan. Menjatuhkan, dan efeknya sungguh mengerikan. 

Seperti saat itu, saat ayahku menghilang.  Dan tak pernah kembali.
