All Miguel wants is to be understood by his family, and for them to understand what he's going through. But with his parents spending all their time with his baby sister, Miguel starts to feel like they may be forgetting him. Soon later, when they visit Ernesto's mausoleum, they became invisible to everyone but only to be seen by Skeletal people. They also met Miguel's Skeletal Relatives including Imelda as well. Soon later, they met a trickster Skeletal man named Hector. Together, they form an unlikely friendship which make Hector thinks that Miguel and Florrie are together but Miguel quickly refused while Florrie was confused and sees Miguel as a friend. Now, they embark on their magical and wonderful journey to find Ernesto while Miguel was too nervous to admit his feelings to Florrie but they will later find out a shocking yet dark secret of their family.
