Hanahaki. A disease where the person in the giving end of unrequited love coughs out flowers. It can only be cured if their beloved returns their feelings. Otherwise, flowers slowly fill up their lungs and roots grow out of them, essentially ridding of their right to breathe, much less even live.

Juvia Lockser, best friends with Gray Fullbuster ever since she was a child. This is how every unrequited love starts out, right? They start as friends and slowly, one develops romantic feelings for the other. Until one day, when no feelings of love is return, the strong emotions begun growing roots and flowers.

It's a race against time to get a cure or have the growth fill up both lungs and her heart eventually ending her ability to live.

What will happen in the end?

"I don't know HOW I fell in love with you! Maybe...maybe you should've just LET me fall from the Phantom Lord roof that first time we fought. That way, I wouldn't have to feel this pain! You're no different than all the others! I thought you were, though. I thought you had accepted me, something no one else in my life has ever done. But I was wrong! And I can see why you're an ice wizard. BECAUSE YOU'RE SO COLD-HEARTED!!!" These words came from none other than Juvia Lockser, the woman deeply in love with and would do anything for the sake of Gray Fullbuster, and she was now spouting this venom towards the same man. But what could've led up to this? What squashed such strong feelings? As Gray went on a dangerous job one day, he was secretly followed by Juvia, who was concerned for his safety. That day, Gray had been in a dark, mind-consuming mood, and he vented his anger out on the poor girl. Juvia, hurt and broken by his words, runs away from the guild and from him. Once Gray realizes his mistake, it's up to him and the rest of the guild to get their lost family member back home safe and sound. But they will have to get past many obstacles, such as avoiding war between two kingdoms, a well-respected prince that falls in love with the water mage, a terrifying premonition, and a powerful source of dark magic. But most of all, Gray must fix things with Juvia. Will this adventure help him realize his true feelings for the water woman? Will Juvia forgive him? Find out in this book, Ice-Cold, written by SaFireSammi. The question to be answered is: In the end of this tale, will hardships divide the magically-compatible pair forever? Or will it bring them even closer together? Fairy Tail belongs to Hiro Mashima, not me. I own this story. Please enjoy! This is my second WattPad book. #COWAwards2k18

Gray Fullbuster. Just the mention of that name makes Juvia want to weep. She was always so kind to him, and he was always so cold to her. Eventually she gave on Gray. It became apparent to her that he didn't want her around. She found a new partner, Lisanna Strauss. Lisanna and Juvia became best friends and of course Lucy, Levy, Erza, Gajeel, and Wendy were there to support Juvia all the way. Juvia is happier than she could ever be the way she is. Maybe even happier than the day she joined Fairy Tail! Juvia Lockser. The name makes Gray want to punch something. He fucked up so badly with her. He honestly really liked Juvia, more than a friend, but he really never knew how he truly felt for the rain woman. That is until he didn't feel a presence near him. He looked around and Juvia was no where to be found. Mira told him she went on a job with Lisanna and she hasn't spoken to Gray since. And he hasn't attempted to speak with her. Why? He's so dumb!! He knows he loves her!! And he knows he has a weird way of showing love but this is down right ridiculous!! He regrets everything cold he's ever said to her, every icy glare he shot at her, every time he pushed her away, he hates himself for his shitty mistakes. Gray Fullbuster, a forgotten man with a broken heart, decides to go on a job with his team. Though because he was thinking of the certain blue haired rain mage, he got badly injured. Juvia Lockser, a new and energetic woman, decides to help as a part time nurse in the infirmary. But what happens when the first person she is assigned to care for is a former crush, the one with an icy glare and a heart sheeted with ice? EDITING START: 2-11-19 EDITING COMPLETE: 10-7-19 P.S. I don't own Fairy Tail or it's characters, I only own this story line concept.

***TRIGGER WARNING: There will be lots of depression and self-harm. You have been warned.*** Shipping Gruvia from Fairy Tail! (Highschool AU) Juvia Lockser is depressed. She always finds herself alone. After years of torture, her mind has begun to unravel into a battleground of lies and memory, tearing her apart from the inside out. Gray Fullbuster is the lonewolf. The ice cold jerk who pushed everybody away. When he meets Juvia, the two "despise" each other. But as time flows on, Gray finds himself intrigued by a past all too similar to his own. What will become of these two lonely people in their cold, hard world? ***Disclaimer: I do not own most of the characters. Fairy Tail belongs to Hiro Mashima.*** PS: I found the beautiful picture of Juvia on Google.
