Baird Amergin is a successful writer and poet from the prosperous land of Ferange. He lives a life of ease with his beautiful girlfriend and is in want for nothing.
But when the notorious Redistribution Force shows up at his house and evicts him, separating him from his girlfriend and deporting him to another land, he learns of a certain outspoken, upstanding political figure who has also been relocated to a dreadful place. The drop off line at school was filled with many interesting people, and Nadine Clarke was definitely not one of them. Even if the rumor mill was buzzing about her husband ditching her and her two children, she was far from the talk of the town. There were others more interesting than herself like the leather jacket guy. She had her eye on him for a while, along with every other mom during drop off. He somehow always ended up in front of her every morning, until one afternoon when he ended up on the pick up line not looking so hot. His son had puked all over himself in the car, and leather jacket guy was beside himself. Nadine had seen that look from her ex before in the face of vomit, so she did what any mom would do and helped him clean up. Amidst the chaos of angry parents, Nadine introduced herself to find out his name was Lawson Bailey and he was a recently single father of one trying to figure out how to navigate divorce. Later that night at the bar Nadine waitresses at, she comes to find that Lawson was in the new band performing there. Upon realization she tripped over a chair leg and tumbled to the floor. Lawson jumped from the stage, stopping the show before it began, only to have Nadine's nervous stomach become upset all over him. The man stooped a bit, leaning close to her and taking the seatbelt from her hands. He was holding eye contact and Lyla felt herself grow amused as she stared back at him. He was going to start buckling her up before someone cleared their throat loudly. They both looked up to meet Reeds' blue-green eyes. ''I think I can help my wife, thank you,'' he said. Lyla's eyebrows shot up. The dude barely talked to her and he was already getting possessive? How does that even add up? Reeds stopped taking the two parts of the seat belt in his hands, ''you couldn't do this without help?'' he muttered to her savagely. Lyla glared at him, before he could even get the belt close to her she took it from his hands and snapped it in the right place. One would think after that small exchange they would start having some kind of conversation. Reflections
I am a regular, shitty, but pretty fucking awesome human, I've seen things of beauty, and some damn right gruesome, A young (ish) woman, who has fucked up a lot, So imagine how many of life's lessons I've got. Though I have been humbled, on several occasions, The resilient idiot I am, just cracks on, bruised and brazen. Still fucking up, of course, from time to time, Though I do hope to make it, a less frequent habit of mine. This novel ere, is a wanky catharsis for me, A place to swaddle my self-doubt, in prose and to be. I have lived many lives, of inconvenience and indulgence, Not always have I thrived, but I can boast experience. With failures to toast and wins to boast, I do hope my words, will keep you engrossed, I've circled the ditch and been in some scraps, Situations from which, I thought I'd never come back. What I can offer now, is a unique perspective. And at the very least, you can read, How not to do what this twat did.
