Identity crisis? What's that? ---- An earthling's soul was born into an incompatible, human body. Their muscles misbehaved, their skin and body felt like a rigid shell, and their weak constitution left little options for any activities outside of paperwork, books and anything on a screen at home. Then the divine beings tried to correct the mistake and removed the mismatched soul from its unfitting body, slinging it to a distant world with a new body to control. The human flesh-prison replaced with the unlimited options of a shapeshifter, the soul has now a magic-filled world to explore. Grow fur for a mountain hike, grow gills and fins for a deep dive. It's time to catch up on decades worth of missed travels and activities. But who wants to deal with the flesh-craving predators called shapeshifters? Another global purge could start, if the freshly transferred soul shows its abilities too much. ---- The rankings are a mystery to me - especially after this story made it to No. 1 under the shapeshifter tag (and others). Welcome to fantasy amateur hours! This is my first time writing that kind of novel. Hopefully there's a bit of improvement along the way. Feel free to tell me what works or not! Occasionally drowning in irl-work, so chapters will be published semi-regularly, whenever I find some time to write. (Usually updated at least once per week.) One could say that Jasmine has had a lot of character development. One worth writing a story about. But when she meets a dragonet who shows her faith and strength that there is possibility, Jasmine started to believe that maybe she can actually survive this. Maybe with enough dragons that really believe in a better future for all, they can finally overthrow the tyrannous queen that has Pyrrhia under her talons. But when things go wrong in the worst way possible, leaving her dangling by a thread, Jasmine must finally decide what she is destined to do: be the hero and risk it everyone she loves, or make a deal she will never forgive herself for?
