A poor girl living in a tiny apartment with her abusive dad, dying mother and her little sister, she's never travelled anywhere outside her hometown. Pop culture or music has never been her priorities, finding higher-paid jobs and earning money to provide for her family are. And somehow she ends up in Seoul, working to become an idol, dancing, singing and rapping for 12 hours a day, all just to save her family from poverty.
