I recommend this Story to People who are very familiar with BotW due to the fact that I did some ingame and online Research to set the story on real geographic conditions. Hope you'll enjoy!
The story is set a hundred years before the ingame events of Breath of the Wild; when the hylian royal family decides to search for ancient Sheikah-technology in fear of the return of the calamity Ganon which disappeared 10.000 years ago.
At the beginning of this story, most of the ancient technologies like the titans have not been discovered yet, but excavations already go on. In this time, the princess Zelda of Hyrule is on her way to visit the four champions of all tribes.
This is a story about the normal, simple people that tried to make their way through life in Hyrule before it was destroyed.
Hundred years before the hero Link awakens in the shrine of live - not long before the Calamity Ganon rises again as predicted to destroy Hyrule: devastation already is casting its shadow over the land. Unusual things begin to happen across Hyrule setting the kingdom on alarm.
In these days, Ibitt, a Rito warrior, far away from his home and his male human mate Énric Tameth settle into the rough land of West-Akkala, trying to escape from the hot climate which is troubling Eastern-Hyrule for months. For the two, it is just a happy coincidence that the ancient Sheikah technology is becoming very popular. But soon they will face even harder challenges than just a drought.

Also some parts of the other Zelda games as well. **** Two people, both crippled by grief and both struggling with great expectations. Two people, but seventeen and still older than Hyrule itself. Two people, who will grow to rely on each other, torn apart by the final ruination. The blood moon rises... The shadow of the Calamity rises over the kingdom of Hyrule, rearing its terrible head, tearing apart all that stands in its way. The deadline was hanging over the head of the citizens who depend on the success of a powerless girl and the mettle of a simply talented boy. The full Triforce shall collide once more, and when it does, are they courageous enough to overcome the own demons that haunt them and stand firm against the evil ahead? Hey everyone! There will be quite a lot of angst so if you're not okay with that, then please don't read my book. This is part 2 of my fanfic series, so If you haven't read the prequel of this story "Botw Reimagined: The Past", I highly recommend reading it before starting on this if you don't want to get confused. Moving from the past of breath of the wild, we finally get to the game portion of the story. Any feedback is appreciated, as well. (Story) 100 years after the tragedy that was the Great Calamity, Hyrule has finally seemed to have regained its footing. However, the seal on Calamity Ganon seems to be weakening, threatening to break any day now. Fortunately for Hyrule, a hero who has been thought long dead finally returns from a long slumber. That hero is Link. Zelda, having barely been able to leave the castle much before him, discovered her sense of adventure when she went out with Link. Is it possible that the two of them harbored a secret admiration for each other than ran deeper than friendship? Or would Link maintain his silence and not speak to the princess at all?
