War is coming. In fact, it's already here, and for high school student Hirose Teikou, the draft looms ominously in the distance as he counts down the days to his eighteenth birthday. He doesn't particularly have any regrets, as a teenager can only accumulate so many demons to fight. There's only one beast in his way--that being the crush he has on his fellow classmate Xinji.
Unfortunately, Xinji vanishes after the two have a fateful encounter with the police, and as Hirose pursues the truth behind her disappearance, he learns that the girl he's fallen for is not quite who she says she is. However, that isn't enough to dissuade him from the answers he seeks. By the end of the third night, he must make a choice: follow his love, or leave it behind in his past.

We've all heard about 'the main character'. The type of person who lives through the most dramatic and improbable situations, and finds the kind of epic romance you only see in works of fiction. Which makes you think about how unrealistic love like that is. I used to think the same thing until I met him. Until I met 'the bad boy' that, as it turns out, wasn't that bad at all, just simply...a boy. A boy with an easy smile, a charming personality and looks so enticing that I couldn't keep my eyes off of him if I tried. A boy whose shoulders were starting to slump with the weight of his past and his family. A boy who believed that the only way to survive was by putting a lock on his heart and chaining it down to a place so deep inside of him that no one could ever reach it again. A boy who, for reasons I'll never comprehend, placed the key inside my palm and didn't shy away when I tried to free his hidden heart from its restraints. Well, here is my version of those events. Hiei is moved into an apartment in town because, well, Koenma has to put him somewhere. There he is faced with the family next door and, against his will, their hospitality. Little does he know there is more to this nearly cliché appearing family then meets the eye. One member of that family, Yuko, a seemingly normal human teen that seems unlucky enough to be running head first into trouble and on one faithful night she unlocks a whole new world for herself through Hiei. Each chapter will show the point of views present, being either Yuko's or Hiei's mostly. I don't own Hiei or anything Yu Yu Hakusho related, but damn I would have loved to.
