Abilities are a rare feature for any human to possess, those who are gifted them by the gods above are what we like to call 'Demi's'. They obtain a rare ability called 'Vigor', where a Demi has a power typically unique to each specific person. They aren't genetic nor can you obtain such a power. No, they are gifted to newborns at birth. Humans do not get to decide who has these abilities, it's the gods from above that do. Yet, Demi's are frowned upon, discarded because of the ever growing fear everyone else possesses of them. So we really only have a few purposes. We can become a government weapon, fully controlled with no freedom whatsoever. Prey for humans to hunt as a target practice because we pose a type of threat and challenge you can't get anywhere else, or we kill humans for fun and ultimate survival.

Extraordinary
Everyone has powers. They originated from a powerful god with immense power, who bestowed these abilities upon humanity because it had grown bored with the world and decided to give itself some entertainment, bestowing powers upon every human in existence. That would be passed down through generations, It runs in their blood. It has been normalized, but there's a twist, their bodies can't handle these abilities and it kills them slowly each time it is used, and with People dying. Groups of people abusing their power, everyone is slowly realizing that these powers are becoming a huge problem for everyone. Still, no one can speak on the matter as for there are rules and everyone must follow them and worship the god and the powers given.
Classroom Of The Elements
If I may, can I ask a question? Are all humans equal? As a wise man once said, "Heaven does not create one person above or below another." People like to throw these words around. That's not the whole quote. It goes on to talk about how, at birth everyone is equal, but things like effort and situation change their value. However, this quote was said before Affinities came into existence. Now, the simple answer is no. Equality ended the moment Affinities appeared. The rarer your Affinity, the higher your worth. The hierarchy was never about effort. It was about what you happened to be born with. Some people train their whole lives and could never hope to destroy a building. Others open their eyes and reality bends around them. So, are all humans equal? Maybe at birth. Will, formerly known as energy, is a spiritual power inside people. Will is a unique ability which certain people are able to manifest. Not everyone possess will. Those who do however, are supernatural. Using will you can reinforce parts of your body, enhance your mind and overall everything. You can also give form to the will inside you, manifest things such as blades. Each people don't possess the same amount of will. They are born inequal. This is what separates themselves from other. Some idiot named Béte comes home from school wanting to hang out with his best friend named Turzo, he comes home to notice that his mom died in the fucking living room, lmfaooo. Turzo somehow fucking finds Béte and he asks Turzo where the fuck to get power. Turzo as the dumbass he is leads Béte into an organization that has. Limeris, Yénz, Turzo and now Béte.
