Coming home (Completed short story)

I took a deep breath. Everything he said was so great, but why wouldn't he understand that I don't want to be just his best friend and beta, but his mate, his Luna! I am sure that if he knew what I was about to do, he wouldn't think so highly of myself.

He was now touching my cheek. His hand was warm, and I could clearly feel my face heating up. This gesture was affecting me, but looking into his eyes, I knew that he didn't see it. I again forced my real feelings deep into my heart and smiled. I hoped that it seemed like a real one.

I will so miss these eyes.
