Delilah Josephine, an orphan, lives with her father and her stepmother in their former house.
Delilah's birth mother, Cordelia died, leaving her daughter in care of Arizel.
Delilah had always been a happy child with full of energy. At the age of eleven she lost her mother and within a span of days her father remarried and brought her step mother Rosabella and her three daughters Recce, Evane and Liana to the house.

Rosabella would make Delilah, do all odd jobs about the house. She would always be trapped in a small room, which had no window. This room belonged to Delilah's mother. The room had an attic in which all her mother's belonging was stored which also included a big dark box. Delilah would spend most of the time sitting in the attic talking to that black box.

Delilah was the her mother's only child, and before Cordelia died, she had attached a key to Delilah's neck. Delilah never knows what the key meant, while she was growing up, but now she knows which key it was and to what road would it take Delilah.
