In a land of chivalry and knighthood, where magic is uncommon, what happens when the captain of the guard and the royal princess are thrust into the heart of mystical chaos? Well, for Juliana, her vast knowledge of weaponry and honed battle skills give her an advantage. She learned most of knightly skills from her father who was also a knight.
For Princess Kathryn, however, it's an entirely different situation. Having spent most of her life confined to her sleeping quarters, the princess had obtained little knowledge of the workings of the world that lay just beyond the four walls of her bed chamber. She was inexperienced and had a dangerously high level of curiosity.
What will happen when there is a thief in the castle? Will Juliana ever find out why the soldiers are so afraid of going to battle in the Northlands? Some say dragons, some say witches, but whatever was out there, Juliana would ready her soldiers and, surely, together, they could vanquish any threat.
