With the help of the enigmatic Captain Adam Girouard and a team of Delusionists, addicts of a tiny, scarlet flower— a drug called Delusion — who stalk the catacombs that run like veins beneath the city, Belle leads a team to bring her brother back. As Belle and Adam draw closer, they learn that the strength of love can tame a beast and shape a princess into a hero.
