Soulmates, we're always told we have one but I haven't been so sure I do. I mean I did get my tattoo and it hasn't disappeared yet, meaning they aren't dead. I guess believing in something like that takes a lot of effort. When you first touch your soulmate (Skin to skin contact) your tattoo turns a solid color. That color is the most important color in your life at the moment you touched. In this world, there's a system to tell who your soulmate is. Nobody remembers how it happened but, one day people started getting these tattoos on their right wrist. These tattoos are a basic shape that resembles your soulmate's hair. The shape is filled in completely by the color of your soulmate's hair as well. In the center of the tattoo, there are 1-5 objects. Those objects describe what your soulmate loves to do. The shape of my tattoo always fascinated me but I've never been able to put it into words. My tattoo shape is an upside-down half-circle if instead of the bottom part being flat, it opens and curves outwards. In the center of my tattoo was a volleyball, it always was a volleyball, it's never changed once. You see naturally, people tend to change hobbies, but whoever my soulmate was, they didn't change theirs, I never changed mine either which is fascinating. You felt like your necklace was the most unique thing about you, other necklaces you had seen were all normal shapes usually split cleanly down the middle, but yours was meant to be a circle, it wasn't split straight down the middle, the pendants edges were jagged, almost as if it was cracked on impact, not carefully cut like the others. The color of the pendent was a rich forest green,a color as vibrant as the green leaves outside after a down pour of rain, you had grown to love the color seeing as you had the necklace with you at all times.
