April O'Neil: So, you wrote a book... Me: A long-ass book. April: A long-ass book! How did it come about? Me: Well, actually, I was just looking for a xreader story with an adult Donnie, where the female character is strong and independent, doesn't need to be rescued all the time, and isn't a giggling schoolgirl. April: And you didn't find anything? Me: Don't get me wrong, April! There are so incredibly great fanfics and xreader stories out there, and I ate them all up! But I needed a new kick and I wanted something epic, dramatic that involved the mystical powers of the turtles and their further developments. April: And then you started writing yourself? Me: The story came about on its own. In my head. And at some point I just had to write it down, otherwise I would have exploded. With the writing, it didn't become a typical xreader story with the "y/n" in it, because that had irritated me. I know that the "y/n" comes out of an inclusive thought, and I think that's good and right. Unfortunately it blocked me, the heroine in my story was too complex and too concrete, and so I gave it up, even if it was no longer a real xreader story. April: And now you're writing a second book? Me: Exactly. The sequel. I'm on it. April: Do you want to give us a little teaser? Me: Well, there's still Leo and his complicated relationship with my heroine. Y/n was an average person. They never stepped out of her comfort zone, she never tried to make new friends, she wasn't shy, just introverted. Not many things could scare them and she was a good fighter. So when money became scarce and she saw a night guard ad in the newspaper their dad had left at their house, she decided why not. During the entrance exam of U.A, a teen girl saved another examiner, but at the cost of their own life as they've got injuried before trying to save them making them to have them on their soul as their body's hidden, but they're still there. They managed to save her and had to hide her state, but after the exam, she felt a pull towards something and found herself fully stuck inside of an animatronic fox and then she saw disk that cast illusions over her new body making her to take three cause of her eyes. As time passes, she found a bear animatronic without a outside shell and she fixes him up making him to thank her. They got close over time and she gained enough courage to explain everything to him which had made her show her soul's state to him. Henry isn't sure exactly what to do about it, but he promises Michael that he will do whatever he can, and at least provide a safe place for the grieving teen to escape to.
