Hi, My name is Alec Lightwood. I'm not that good about being social and being the head of the spotlight, but here we go. I'm going to take you down a road telling my story, and the reason why I killed myself, or tried to anyway...

Alec Lightwood is 17 and hates his life. The only person he had left is Magnus Bane, the one person he truely loves but he knows he will never feel the same as it is so obvious he loves Camille. He couldn't take it any longer, he couldn't take the heartbreak he had to live everyday seeing how happy Magnus was with Camille, he couldn't take the hate he had to live everyday from his family, he couldn't take the loner that was creeping into his life, knowing he had no one left. He only had one way to escape this  torture he was living in....
