Melanie is a free spirit. Her thoughts are made up of a night's cooling breeze, the rush she feels as she speeds down the highway, her hair being plastered to her body as she pushes through the salty ocean water, the way heat radiates off the pavement in the summer, and the way the stars sparkle and glow. Matty. The most interesting boy she's ever discovered. He is a burning, flashing and mind twisting ball of gas floating into Melanie's universe full of colour and life.
