This is an attempt to figure out one of the subplots of my book. Unedited, since the point is to keep writing until I have something resembling a plot line :D

Lord Malcath Ravenstone is the head of a fallen noble house in the pirate town of Myran. He wants to revive his house, make the Ravenstones into influential nobles again, but he has countless obstacles in his way:  the negative stereotypes about his family, more powerrful nobles who don't want him climbing up the hieararchy, a lack of resources and allies, and most importantly his own limited perspective and stubbornness.All Rights Reserved

It's my plan to work through all the canon books. This first one starts out echoing canon very closely, but will become quite AU after the first few books. In one of those fanfics, set in the Marauders' era and called "Memories of a Marauder Wolf" -which I'm currently trying to rewrite, but it hasn't been easy-I worked through my teenage traumas with the story I wrote. Although nowadays I only read and write 'Remadora' fanfics (Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks), I decided to revisit Mary Hallow to work through my adult traumas (or as I like to say, 'exorcise my demons'). So, even though this Mary Hallow no longer has a certain issue that defined her in my older fanfics, many of the things in the story are-once again-things I personally experienced. Basically, it's just another 'fanfic' to complement my therapy sessions. LOL
