Stories end how they start. Sadly, this one starts with a funeral.
Noah Dastern suffers from a rare mental disorder. One that prevents him from feeling physical, and sometimes, emotional pain. The disorder's effects increasingly get worse over time, leaving him only a short time of sanity, unless he is able to overcome it. He soon learns that he can't do it alone and lets Andy in. A boy he has become close too, and feels that something more is happening between them. But he soon remembers why he blocked so many off, because he could hurt them.
Noah must make the decision to let Andy in and help him get better, or to promise him a happy life free of the plague of hurt and distrust that Noah drags around with him.
As they get closer, Noah falls into a world of utter insanity and madness. A world where he can't tell right from wrong. If murder is okay. A world with no morals, that could destroy him, and all those who have learned to love him, including Andy.
What hurts most when pain is absent? What hurts you?
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
