The four had not met each other in 4 months. No war, no plague happened, starvation and obesity rates were declining rapidly. Not many deaths happened, but not many births happened. A sense of unease was happening with the world. Kemburaskia sat alone in her throne as Gregor, her assistant, bowed and walked up to her. "How's the humbleness coming along?" Gregor chuckled. "Is far worse than humbleness." Kemburaskia mumbled under her breath. Gregor grinned widely. "You know what I always loved?" "Baffle me." "Sommers made you into a warrior but then wanted to change you into a wise man. And this is what he made." "Sommers found me dead in the hospital, I was his creation." The four horsemen, War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death, have been the ones to make the evil spread and destroy the world when it is the right time. Yet do you know who they truly are? Are they just mythical gods sitting on their asses trying to make everyone's life a living hell? Maybe, they're people, who roam the street as you do. Who drive cars and travel places as you do. And you would never bat an eye, would you?

Formerly called 'Withered' Highest Ranking as of 5/18/2018: #5 in Matureaudience; 12/7/2018: #3 in ied I gulped as his hand cupped my jaw, "Tell me River. Are you scared of me?" He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. Daimen frowned and studied me for a while, "Just wondering, because you seem to love pissing me off. And most people don't. So I guess you need some figuring out to do." ********* Daimen and River were both seniors at the same high school, they took some of the same classes, walked the same halls, live in fair distance from each other, but they couldn't have been more different. When high school was over River and Daimen became ghosts to each other but then years later fate decides to bring them back together. River Sparrow hates confrontation. She's jumpy, but tries to see the bright side of situations. She's quiet, soft spoken, the "teacher's pet," and keeps to herself a lot. She's a volunteer at the local animal shelter and loves one dog in particular the most. Daimen Princeston would fight in a heartbeat. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?
