Sonic becomes horribly injured in a fight with Dr. Eggman and is left abandoned in the forest alone to die. However, Shadow, upon hearing what his boss has done, feels that even know Sonic can be annoying and a pain, he deserves to live. Shadow finds the blue blurr bleeding out to death in the forest and takes him home to nurse him back to health. As weeks pass by, the ebony hedgehog questions what he really feels about his so called 'faker' and the true feelings he possesses for the hedgehog.
