Samantha Grey is a 17 year old girl living with her family in a cheap looking house somewhere in LA. They moved from Ohio when her dad got a new job and had to be transferred. That would have been harder for Samantha if she had friends she would miss. Or friends at all. Sure, she had classmates that she talked to, but wouldn't really call them friends.
Growing up, people thought Samantha was weird and mostly stayed away from her. It didn't really bother her since she liked being alone.
But when she moved to LA and started at a new school, a girl named Bella Turner quickly became someone she enjoyed spending time with- a good friend.
