You were a generic boy with no striking features who lived with your grandmother. Your only wish was to live an exciting life since the physical conditions of your grandmother prevented you from doing much. One day, you head off to see your only two friends, Ken Kaneki and Hideyoshi Nagachika, at their favorite coffee shop, Anteiku. There, you and Kaneki meet a girl named Rize Kamishiro. After the course of a couple of short days, their lives take a major turn, and your wish for an exciting life is granted a little too much.
