Izuku learned that after being saved by All Might just to be told he couldn't be a hero, then scolded by MORE pro heroes when he tried to save his childhood friend Kacchan.
But maybe a new door opens when he saves a puppy with a quirk in an alley. All just because he decided to speak up for himself.

Kacchan thinks that izuku is useless. Many probably think so too. Deku doesn't have a quirk but his mother paid the doctors not to write him down as quirkless. If you are quirkless, you will not only be treated very badly, but in some cases also hunted. Because of the blood. People with quirks have problems getting a blood donation. Someone with an animal quirk cannot donate or get any blood from another animal quirk that is not the same species or another quirk . A person with a fire quirk can only get or give blood from someone with a fire quirk. Blood loss is very dangerous only a quirkless person can donate blood to everyone and become blood from everyone. So Izuku has officially a quirk. His quirk makes him smarter and stronger than the rest of the average. Stronger? What an obvious lie.Complete

At a young age, Izuku Midoriya gave up his dream to become a hero. He didn't have a quirk. He was not special. He longed to be remembered. He wanted to be known. He wanted people to see him, and what he did, and smile. Izuku quit dreaming of becoming a pro hero after three times of being denied. He decided to screw it, and just be normal. He has part time jobs, he recently graduated, he has a car, a nice apartment. And the support from his mom. That is all he needs. What he doesn't need is his childhood bully showing up in his Pro Hero costume outside his door. Or outside the window to his jobs. Or anywhere near him to be honest. But Izuku can't catch a break as Bakugo keeps asking him to become a hero. "Come on. You can become a hero." Bakugo said moving to stand in front of Izuku. "No, bitch. Now move over so I can clean up this spot. Also, fuck you." Izuku retorted with a broom in his hand This is kind of like crack treated seriously. Izuku Midoriya: the truest hero of all time.
Izuku Midoriya formerly izuku yagi had a good life up until he was diagnosed quirkless. He was neglected and beaten by his own (all might, magnetic and Izumi) family and (1A) friends. Over the years izuku learn how to defend himself in private, read comics from before quirks were around and learning about heroes quirks. One day, while izuku is running away from his tormentors, he runs into the forest to lose them. After he does he realizes he's lost and then he sees a meteor coming towards him. After it crashes izuku feels like it's calling to him, he goes near it and almost in an instant he feels a sudden surge of power and strength he never felt before. Now with these new abilities he will become the next number one hero and symbol of hope.
Not an NPC but an Alice!
Izuku didn't think much about it when he refused his parents to stay at home since he was sick of socializing. Little did he know that this would actually change his whole world. All of the sudden faced with a stranger in his house and then chased down only to land in an unknown forest, he didn't know what was going on. To make everything worse, there was this message panel in front of him saying he was an Alice. There was only one question in his mind: What the hell is an Alice?
