(Trafalgar Law x Reader)

They say that life is black and while until you meet them. That one person that will bring colour into your life. As soon as you make eye contact with them, the world around you lights up and time comes to a stop. Suddenly the world around you ceases to exist. The only thing that matters now is them and only them. That's when you know you've met them. That's when you know you've met your soulmate.

Cases of colour blindness has increased drastically over the last few years. Not only in men, but in women as well and it's become worse, a lot worse. Not only does it affect someone's ability to see red and green, but all colours. Imagine that, you're whole world only in black and white. Not that we knew any better, to us colour doesn't even exist until we see them. That's right. People who were colour blind could all of a sudden see colours and it's all because they met that special someone.

At first scientists were baffled. Then after some extensive research, they concluded that originally the pathway to interpreting colours in the brain was block. Then due to a sudden surge in the amount of hormones your brain produces when you first meet your 'soulmate', it miraculously unblocks.

Of course this is all just speculation. There are some that believe that this is a gift from God to ensure that we find the one that we are truly destined to be with. While there are also some who believe these cases to be a bunch of hogwash. As for me, well, I guess I'll just have to see for myself.

Everything changed when they came out of hiding, terror spread across the world as people began to question if our presidents and our global leaders lied to us and weren't from the same race. The Beasts blended in amongst us as if we were the same, except humans didn't have the same predatory instincts and we couldn't change our forms like they could. Soon after we learnt that we weren't the only species people began going missing. Some were unlucky and taken as something that the Beasts called a Mate that one word made fear spread throughout my veins, I would rather sell my soul than have one of them mutts chain me to them. Six months went by before the government, that was un-tainted by this vile race began to take action into their own hands contacting other countries and militaries causing the great war to happen, sending both my parents off to fight for our rights. Only one of them came back, two months was the longest we lasted before we were overpowered by them. Six years of living in this dysfunctional environment and my hatred had never dwindled. Some people still believed in god and had faith in him, I didn't know what I believed in but I prayed like everyone else that I would get through another day without hearing the soul crushing word 'Mate'. THE BOOK COVER IS MADE BY THE AMAZING XZOL, @Singlehoesupremacy THANK YOU SO MUCH MY BELVOEDDD! :DDDD --- You grew up in an orphanage, helping raise the children there. Often, these people who seemed like normal people would come, and see the children, not to adopt, but to seek out who'd be the best assassin on their team. Well, you appeared to be the best fit... For years, you trained for this. They eventually felt you were ready to be a "normal teenager". They sent you to a high school, with many other kids your age. All of these kids had this ring, that would reveal your soulmate. You'd normally get these at the age of 12, but with you training to be an assassin, you never got one, that was until you went to school. These rings are supposed to show the color of the emotion your soulmate feels. Once you meet your romantic soulmate, your ring turns the color light pink. And when you meet your platonic soulmate, it'll turn a more hot pink color. It will still show their emotions, but for the most part the ring would be pink. When your romantic soulmates dies, the ring will turn black and will fall off your finger, becoming dust. There's also another way of knowing a soulmate: Writing on yourself. If you do that, it appears on your soulmate's body too. You usually get the writing one by age 17 if you haven't met your soulmate by that time. One day while at school, you meet someone that went by the name of "Ranboo". What happens when your ring turns pink, and you also start getting targets to kill? --- Book Started: December 12th, 2021 Book Published: April 20th, 2022 (so 4/20, nice) Book Completed: ??? --- COVER ART MADE BY THE AMAZING BELOVED @Singlehoesupremacy MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW XZOL OR I'LL KILL YOUR MINECRAFT PETS

(DISCONTINUED) 'A young girl has just been living her life normally; until she turned thirteen--the age where you can find your soulmate. That was when this young girl and their parents--found out that her eyes not only changed colour, but she also had a tattoo/soulmark.' 'For years humans have been born with the ability to find their soulmates by eye colour. The first emotion you feel when you turn thirteen is the emotion that causes your eyes to change to your soulmate's.' 'Monsters have been able to find their soulmates by a tattoo of something that represents their soulmate. Humans, however, do not have tattoos unless they are a monster's soulmate. If this is the case, the 'soulmark' as it is referred to as, will only represent the monster soulmate and will be the single soulmark used to find the other half. A monster can find their soulmate by either of them touching the other's soulmark without having any bandage or piece of cloth in between them. Although rare, it is not uncommon for a monster to have a human for a soulmate--so what if Sans did?' WARNING!: This was a basic summary, I will be adding in a bit more information! Although this IS an 'X-Reader' fanfic, (and my first at writing one) I will be giving the reader heterochromia eyes. You will be able to choose what the colour of her right eye is--but for the sake of this story, her left eye will be green. 1st Book in a Series! AND YESS, the reader will be female. (Sorry guys!!!) I Do Not own Undertale, it is owned by Toby Fox! I do not own 'reader,' you do. (The cover art is the soulmark.)

***Updates Every Saturday*** People were told that soulmates guaranteed a year of happiness. A year to feel complete and whole. A year where you were with the one person who could understand you. And then they died and you find yourself scrapped of whatever good thing you had and left hollow. It's why most people avoided soulmates the chance of death, or worse, the chance of being the one left behind, acted as a deterrent. Some people though seek out their soulmate anyways. They risk their life and home to find them. They hurt those closest to them for a chance to feel that wholeness that was promised, that happiness, that perfection. Even if it only lasts a year. Some people meet their soulmates. Only to realize that sometimes, soulmates are just as hollow as you are. or The sequel to "I Was Meant To Die In Your Arms"
