Seventeen-year-old Allysia Clarke continues to survive the harsh and cold winter that took over Earth while protecting her loved ones from the dangers lurking beyond the walls of her family's shed.

Determined to find a rumoured sanctuary, they set off and leave their countryside home to find the last of humanity, but on their journey to the caverns they find that the world outside was not how they left it.

While battling destructive storms, killing monsterous creatures, and hiding from a secret group of superiors that will stop at nothing in their path to put a stop to the truth being uncovered, Allysia and her family meet the mysterious Delos family who seem to know a lot more than most about The Society.

Are they just another obstacle sent to disrupt the family from finding the sanctuary, or are they also victims of The Society's hidden agenda?
