Harriet Harlow, an intellectual eighteen year old from Melbourne is abruptly assigned to ‘The State of Salem Mental Institution’ and has no recollection of what she did or why she’s there. As Harriet learns that the existing patients of the asylum are more insane than she thought, some tremendously dangerous, the male wardens are corrupt and believe in old asylum practises such as electro-shock therapy, sexual assault and lobotomies. Harriet attempts to use her intellects to escape the torture of the horrifying island, but how long till the custodians discover her escape plan and stop it for good?
