At 36, like most people I was focusing on raising my children and building a career when I received devastating news that my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and had a little over 6 months to live. Several months later while assisting in caring for my dying mother, I found out that I too had breast cancer. A couple of months after my diagnosis, one of my sisters was also diagnosed with Breast Cancer. All in the same year! I was assisting in caring for my dying mother, sister, and staying strong as a mother, wife, daughter, and sister while fighting the hardest battle of my life. A few days after my reconstructive surgery, and when I'd thought I'd be able to live life again, I received devastating news that my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. When I was going through this storm it was hard to fathom being on the other side. No one could have ever prepared me for this storm.

In this book, you will remember the importance of keeping the faith in the midst of the storm. Knowing that God was in control kept me pushing when I was weak. I stand here today thanking God that my father, my two sisters, and I are all survivors. My mom was not healed on earth but I like to believe that she is healed in Heaven.
