Good Intentions

Aaron's mother; her best friend, her hope, her shield, just wasn't suited for this kind of life. The kind of life that makes a little girl hide under her bed, not in fear of the monster in the closet, but the one in the living room leaned back excessively far in an old, peeling La-Z-Boy with a half gallon of beer and whiskey pooling thickly in his liver (and on the carpet). And just like her red rimmed eyes and bruised wrists, this life is kept tucked safely under her bed where no one will ever find it. No one; until Dakota Dickson, the dark night with a no-good reputation -- and maybe a not-so-bad heart. But do his intentions proceed his reputation, or the hidden warmth behind his eyes? Of course, we all know what the road to hell is paved with.

Since the death of her mother, Aaron Jackson, has been dealing with abuse in her private home. Aaron has kept it a secret for 9 years and has not told a single soul about it. But that all changes when she meets the rebel, Dakota Dickson. She clutches onto Dakota because he showed a little compassion. Thus they start to fall for each other.

After learning about Aaron's abuser, Dakota starts to pressure her into taking action. He turns protective over her and tries to save her. Even if that means going to an extreme method of doing so.
