This story is my happy place; I do not plan on ever finishing it. It will go on and on like a soapie. Might break it up into volumes later. "Grab a bunch of broken misfits, chuck them in a tribe, add some glitter and loads of weird-as garbage, voila, you've got yourself a fairy tale... kinda... just... you know... minus the fairies..." Paisley Davenport ♫ When Willow Mayfair's life falls apart, her mother brings her to Briar Cove, the small coastal town where she grew up. Living with Rebecca's childhood friend, a new world filled with love, excitement, and friendship opens up for both of them. For everybody who also dreams of a fairy tale and won't care if the "knights" were a little dirty. Genre: Slice of Life/Romance/Humour This is a slow-burn journey through love and life, filled with an array of beloved characters, their sad moments, happy moments and a multitude of bat-sh#t crazy moments. P.S.: This is not a fairy tale... Thank you: Micaela, for helping the characters take on a life of their own and encouraging me to keep on writing. Phillo, for not minding reading girly stories... if it's to help your mom. Jeandré, your weird-as sense of humour and quirky feedback inspires me and keeps me going. ♫ This is a work of fiction. Any names or characters, businesses or places, events or incidents are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Sometimes you don't get the privilege of making choices. It is either: walk through the fire and get out with a few burns or be flung into it and get charred to death. They didn't have that advantage. Astraea, a fierce young woman, that discovered the real face of this monstrous world at a young age. Her and her triplets, Atlas and Ares were kidnapped by their father's rival. They got caught in the middle of a Mafia war. They were supposed to be innocents, bubbly and joyful kids instead they were forced to grow up and fend for themselves at a tender age. Now years later they are back under the care of their biological family. The triplets had to take drastic measures in order to survive in this cruel world. They mastered the art of concealing their feelings. They built walls to protect their hearts from betrayal and pain. Now, they must learn how to trust their new-found family. It is hard for them to do so since the only people they ever found trustworthy were their chosen family. The one who took them in when they needed a roof to live under. And with a young love that is still fighting the obstacles thrown its way throughout the years.
