Twenty-two years old, Atla Rollins is a survivor of a hell on Earth. Her survival does not come without a price, and it weighs heavily on her as well as the burden of nearly killing the one she loves: Peyton.

In spite of that, Atla does her best to move on and fit into a normal life.

She has a job.

She visits her dad and his new family for lunch on Saturdays.

But, Atla faces struggles in adapting, and her exclusion grows when Peyton's wife and unexpected child come to live with them. However, she wouldn't want to change anything because here is better than there.
